Abandoned Mansion in Tennessee

Welcome to this iconic abandoned in Tennessee. I was given this location by a friend of mine and decided to trek out in the 14 degree weather to explore it before Christmas. Let's explore this place together!

THE HISTORY

So the story goes that an old couple lived in this house until they passed. The house was then passed onto someone else, who currently owns the property, but hasn't done anything with it. Now there's a new development nearby so I fear that they'll demo this house to build out the neighborhood, which would be quite sad..

I love how the outside of the house is beginning to split open. It makes this place so much more eerie. It seems to be built on massive tree trunks and you can see straight under the house.

Getting In

To get into this place we had to trek through the woods, over a creek, and down a steep hill. It was tough to do in the dark, but we managed. When we finally got through the woods and saw the house for the first time, I was stunned at its beauty.

I always try to get photos in my Exploration merch, which you can get in the SHOP.

Our journey into the house then began. The doors had ADT security stickers, but there was clearly no power in the house, so we knew that it was just a way to scare people from entering the property. Not scary enough for us.

One of the windows on the porch was smashed open and there was a small ladder sitting next to it, which allowed us to safely climb up and into this old home.

THE INSIDE

This place had many different types of crazy wallpaper, some Christmas supplies, which seems to be common here in Tennessee, and what looked like office ceiling tiles throughout some of the hallways and rooms. It was clear to me that someone had recently had some fires lit in the fireplace to keep warm, probably a squatter or some bored explorers.

THE SPOILS

This section of the blog is where I share the little details of the house, such as the things that were left behind, including trinkets, an old coat rack, vacuum cleaners, and more.

THE MUSIC VIDEO

Here's the music video we filmed at this location, it's for a cover of Halsey's So Good.

THE EXIT

Getting out was quite simple. We said goodbye to this lovely place and made our way out, flew my drone, and trekked back through the woods with frozen feet.
